Who is the data controller?

Ryde Saints Football Club is the organisation responsible for personal data collected through this website. [CLUB ADMIN: COMPLETE THIS with a role-based privacy or secretary email.]

What this website collects

The public website is designed to collect as little as possible:

The site does not use a Meta Pixel or advertising trackers of its own. The homepage can show the club Facebook timeline only after a visitor clicks “Show Facebook feed”. That click loads content from facebook.com, which may then set Facebook cookies. Until that click, Facebook is not loaded.

Why we collect it and lawful basis

Form submissions are used to respond to your enquiry (legitimate interests in running a grassroots club, and/or your request to take steps before a possible relationship with the club). We do not use the form to build a marketing list.

Safeguarding communications

Safeguarding messages should go to the Club Welfare Officer route, not a general mailbox. Welfare information is handled more tightly than a routine enquiry. Do not send other people’s sensitive information through the public form unless you need to raise a concern and have no other safe route.

Children and youth information

This website is not a player database. Do not submit dates of birth, medical details, home addresses or school information through the public form. Team pages must not list children. Photographs of young people should only be published if the club has the appropriate consent.

Retention

Enquiry emails are kept only as long as needed to answer and, where relevant, to keep a short record of the correspondence. [CLUB ADMIN: COMPLETE THIS with the club’s retention period once agreed.]

Sharing and processors

Hosting is on Cloudflare Pages. Form delivery may use an email provider configured by the club (documented in the repository README). We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

UK data protection law gives people rights including access, correction, deletion in some cases, and objection to certain processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. This page is not legal advice.

Cookies

We do not set our own analytics or marketing cookies. Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies if Turnstile is enabled on the contact form.

If you click “Show Facebook feed” on the homepage, facebook.com may set its own cookies. You can use the rest of the site without doing that.

Contact

Privacy questions: use the contact form or the email published by the club once completed.
